Late Night Snacks: Monique Brooks Roberts and Emily Bate

A Party with an Expiration Date

Monique Brooks-Roberts
In Partnership with FringeArts and Opera Philadelphia
With Community Support from Vox Populi, PARC, Hidden City,
and the Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs

Looking for a post-festival nightcap? A consensual art hookup? A sugar high to ride into the wee hours? Join the Bearded Ladies and a roster of deliciously dangerous and provocatively pleasurable performers at Late Night Snacks, an after hours cabaret in the heart of East Passyunk. Stop by for a quick cocktail or stay for the show, featuring different performers every night from opera singers to drag queens, cabaret stars to art clowns, and everything in between. Part performance installation, part fever dream, part neighborhood jawn, Late Night Snacks is a festival after-party with an expiration date.

Having performed and recorded for artists including Alicia Keys, Common, and Jill Scott, Monique Brooks Roberts is a violinist making her mark in the soul/jazz fusion circuit, using her violin to help spread messages of self love, peace,  sensuality, and being free in every aspect of the word. Emily Bate is a harmony fanatic whose work explores the queer pleasures of voice. She is the founder/conductor of Trust Your Moves, a community chorus focusing on new work by Philadelphians. Jess Conda hosts.

Bearded Ladies Honorary Producers, Linda and David Glickstein
