The Bearded Ladies Cabaret returns for our third annual LATE NIGHT SNACKS, the unapologetically queer performance art pop up that makes everyone a little bit gay. Featuring a wardrobe’s worth of artists from opera singers to drag queens, cabaret stars to art clowns, and everything in between, LATE NIGHT SNACKS is here to convert you. Whether you come once, come every night, or just stop by on your way to the corner store, you’ll leave with a mouthful of rainbows and glitter on your lips. Part subversion therapy, part luxury walk-in, LATE NIGHT SNACKS invites you to join us in The Closet, our custom-built cabaret, for seven minutes in queer heaven.

Two artists that ground their work in the experience of movement take the Late Night Snacks stage. Dance artist and choreographer Annie Wilson shares an excerpt from her most recent show, Always the Hour. Shavon Norris uses art to unearth the stories living in us, and then finds ways to dance, say, and sing our histories, our right nows, and our desires for the future.

Hosted by US (aka Anthony Martinez-Briggs)

Content Warning from Shavon: “I will be 47 in March 2024. I am acutely aware of how my body is shifting. I am also acutely aware of how the perspective, language, and behavior of Western Culture is affecting my journey. I am curious about exploring what happens when my body bodies in new ways. This piece invites me to consider how do I honor the changing while also reaching for agency, pleasure, and joy. This piece invites me to be with my inevitable aging, dying, and death.”

From Annie: My solo references Christianity, crucifixion, giving birth, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the torture of Prometheus.
